  1. X-Lite Installation Guide
  1. Purchase $10 or $25 prepaid credit from AMSVoip using your credit card.
  2. You will receive an email with your initial installation configuration Information.

    Instructions on how to configure and use your Softphone Service ==============================================

    -If you have not done so, please download X-lite softphone from http://www.counterpath.com

    -Follow the instructions and install the softphone on your PC. You can find additional instructions at http://www.amsvoip.com/softphoneinstall.asp

    -Your virtual phone number, account number and password is shown above.

    -You can also get your account details by loging at http://www.amsvoip.com

     
  3. If you have not done so, download X-lite from counterpath.com for free.


  4. Click on Run and begin the installation.


  5. Go though the installation process until finished.


  6. Click on the Finish Button and launch X-Lite. This will start X-Lite and open the initial setup screen
    as below.


  7. Click the ADD button and add your account information which you have received in your email
    when you purchase prepaid credit as follows:



  8. Click on the Advanced Tab and make the highlighted changes.


  9. Apply and Ok the changes. Your account should be ready to use.


  10. Your softphone will now register and will be ready to use.
911, E911 and other emergency service numbers cannot be accessed through AMS Softphone Voice services. 
You must use a traditional phone or mobile phone to access 911 or other emergency service numbers. 
Internet access and compatible PC required.
